MUSEUMS AND GALLERIES
The São Paulo Pinacoteca is a visual arts museum with an emphasis on the Brazilian production from the 19th century to the present day. Founded in 1905 by the Government of the State of São Paulo, it’s the oldest art museum in the city.

MAM is located in Parque Ibirapuera (Park), the most important green area in São Paulo. The building was adapted by Lina Bo Bardi and has, in addition to the exhibition rooms, an atelier, library, auditorium, restaurant and shop.

The Art Museum of São Paulo is a private non-profit museum founded by Brazilian businessman Assis Chateaubriand in 1947, becoming the first modern museum in Brazil.

The Tomie Ohtake Institute develops exhibits that focus on the last 60 years of the art scene, or previous movements that lead to a better understanding of the period in which Tomie has been working, organizing unique exhibits in Brazil such as Louise Bourgeois, Josef Albers, Yayoi Kusama, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, among others.

The Casa Triângulo is renowned for revealing and consolidating the careers of various artists and for constantly supporting them in presenting institutional-scale exhibitions, reaffirming the gallery as a free and experimental venue, gaining an increasingly prominent position in the international art scene.

Under the direction of Márcia Fortes, Alessandra d'Aloia and Alexandre Gabriel, the Fortes D'Aloia & Gabriel (formerly Fortes Vilaça Gallery) presents a dynamic program in which Brazilian and foreign artists, young and established, hold ambitious exhibitions. It has three exhibition spaces: the Gallery and the Galpão (Warehouse), in São Paulo; and the Carpintaria (Carpentry Workshop) in Rio de Janeiro.

The Nara Roesler Gallery, one of Brazil's leading contemporary art galleries, represents influential Brazilian and Latin American artists of the 1950s, in addition to important established and young artists who dialogue with the trends inaugurated by these historic figures.

In 2017, the Luisa Strina Gallery celebrated its 43 years of activity - Luisa opened her gallery in 1974. During the 1970s, Strina introduced to the market, several exponents of what would later be called Generation 70, such as Cildo Meireles, Tunga, Waltercio Caldas and Antonio Dias.

The Mendes Wood DM was founded in 2010 by partners Felipe Dmab, Matthew Wood and Pedro Mendes with the purpose of exhibiting Brazilian and international artists in a context favorable to critical dialogue and cross-pollination. The central axis of the gallery’s programming is a concern for regional and individual differences, while promoting cosmopolitism and collaboration.
